Definition of promotional content
Promotional content includes any video or audio to be published on various platforms in order to promote Plus Studio's original content.
Promotional content includes trailers and teasers.
All promotional content must look and sound like the main content.
General requirements for submitting content
Project content must be submitted as separate files according to its type (video or audio file).
Content can be submitted using S3 and Yandex Drive. Contact the project manager about the submission and approval process and the deadline.
General requirements for video
The file name template includes the following fixed sequence of elements:
- Main title name
- Season number (TV series only) in the following format: s00
- Content type (trailer or teaser)
- Extra content name (if necessary)
- Resolution (WxH)
- Frame rate: ##fps
- Format: SDR or HDR
- Date: YYYY_MM_DD
- Version number: v#

- Container: MOV
- Format: ProRes 4444 XQ
- Resolution and frame rate must be identical to those of the main title. For information about these parameters, contact your manager
- Color space and gamma must be identical to those of the main title. For information about the required SDR and HDR versions, contact your manager:
- SDR—Rec.709 BT1886
- HDR—Rec.2020 PQ
- Alpha channel availability—contact your manager
- White reference for HDR—203 nit
- HDR10 metadata must be provided as a separate file
Technical specifications:
- Video must not contain audio tracks
- Color subsampling: 4:4:4
- Scan: Progressive
- The actual ratio of the visible area's sides must be the same throughout the entire footage
- No letterboxing is allowed for the active image area
- If fade to black or cut to black is used, the color must be RGB 000
- Text and important graphical elements must be placed at least 5% from the Title Safe Area
General requirements for audio
The file name template includes the following fixed sequence of elements:
- Main title name
- Season number (TV series only) in the following format: s00
- Content type (trailer or teaser)
- Extra content name (if necessary)
- Frame rate: ##fps
- Format: 20 (for stereo) or 51 (for 5.1)
- Date: YYYY_MM_DD
- Film language tag as per ISO 639-2
- Version number: v#

- The number of audio channels must be the same as in the main title. For information about the required stereo and 5.1 versions, contact the project manager
- Container: Wave or Broadcast Wave
- All audio channels are combined into one file
- Codec: PCM
- Channel sequence:
- For stereo: L, R
- For 5.1: L, R, C, LFE, Ls, Rs (SMPTE)
- Sample rate: 48 kHz
- Bit rate: 24 bit
Technical specifications:
- Soundtracks in any compressed format (lossy or lossless) or soundtracks obtained by decoding such formats are prohibited.
- Duration: all audio master files must have the same duration as the video with the native frame rate (accurate down to milliseconds).
- All versions must be synced (if played simultaneously, no chorus, flanger, or tripping effect should occur).
- All versions must include all soundtrack elements.
- Integrated loudness (EBU R128): -23 LUFS +/-0.5 LU.
- Only for content less than 30 seconds, short term loudness (EBU R128): not more than -18 LUFS.
- Loudness range (LRA): not more than 18 LU.
- Peak signal (True Peak): not exceeding -10 dBTP.
- All channels must be phased with each other. If correlometer readings are below zero for a significant length of time, it is considered a defect.
- To avoid issues with playing 5.1 sound on some user devices, automatic downmix from 5.1 to stereo must be controlled using the following settings:
- Center channel attenuation: -3 dB
- Surround channel attenuation: -3 dB
- Downmix does not include LFE
Extra content
For global distribution, each clip must have the following extra content sent to the archive:
- SDR textless—an SDR video master file that has all text removed.
Examples of names:
- HDR textless—an HDR video master file that has all text removed. HDR10 and Dolby Vision metadata for textless versions are inherited from the main master file and do not need to be prepared separately.
Examples of names:
- Music and effects (ME)—audio master files in stereo or 5.1 without dialogue or audible lines in the original language.
Examples of names:
- Dialogue (DX)—audio master files in stereo or 5.1 that contain only dialogue in the original language.
Examples of names:
- Effects (FX)—audio master files in stereo or 5.1 that contain foley and effects.
Examples of names:
- Music (MX)—audio master files in stereo or 5.1 that contain all music tracks used in the clip.
Examples of names:
