Afghanistan, March 2018. John Kinley's (US Army Sergeant) squad was ambushed during a special operation in search of Taliban weapons. Only John himself, who was wounded, and the local translator Ahmed, who collaborates with the Americans, remain alive. Waking up in his homeland, Kinley does not remember how he managed to survive but understands that it was Ahmed who saved his life by dragging him through the dangerous territory. And now John is haunted by guilt. He decides to return to Afghanistan to find Ahmed and his family.
